When we were little kids, it seemed that we could do anything: become a superhero, a famous actress, or even president. And then reality came in with a crash bang, and we learned our limitations. Some of us can’t fly, or act, or negotiate. But we have other gifts, and finding them is what it’s all about.

For me, I wanted to be a singer with all my heart. And while I only sing with a lot of help from a karaoke machine these days, my failed auditions introduced me to other talents, which over time I learned to appreciate.
