Returning to make new roots

Soooooo, it’s been a month plus since I’ve posted anything. I have some general excuses, but the main one is that I AM TIRED.

We’ve had illnesses, work, and home obligations pile up, and somewhere in the middle of it all I got lost. And if I’m being completely honest, the news of the past few weeks has been so awful, it felt hard to write small stories here, when such big things were happening to people I know and places I have lived — as well as to people I don’t know, but care about all the same. I spent much of the past month online reading, sharing, and processing why regular people do horrible things. And why we let them.

Suffice to say, I can’t come back to where I was. I’m using much of my creative energy in my work projects right now. And what I have left needs to be put to good use.

I’m about to wrap up the Widgets Landing story this week (promise!). And then I’m moving on to some other things, making work about issues that impact more than my living room, and that are rooted in my core beliefs. I look forward to sharing them with you. See you soon.
